Bayonet and Black Horse Restaurant

I call them the 'young ladies.'
My own term of endearment for the elderly ladies ages from late 70s to late 80s from the chapel.
Right before we left, they had a get together at Bayonet and Black Restaurant at the golf course for a little send off get together of their Mrs. Chaplain, which is me.

We had many get together here, big and small.
It's on the golf course and has a wonderful view.
The restaurant is very casual and the food is decent for the price.
It has an atmosphere of a local hang out place.

Ms. Flo made an  arrangement with the chef to make this special dessert for all of us.
Old fashioned style bread pudding  was so delicious!!

My last visit to Bayonet and the Black Horse.
"I miss you young ladies!!"

California Market Restaurant

Ahhhhhhhhh............"gone for fishing" too long?
I guess it took another move to pull me out of a rut and restart blogging and sharing.
We have left Monterey in June. Yes..., No ...., we are not there anymore.
Now we are back to the East Coast in DC area.

But my heart did not leave Monterey yet.
So beautiful Monterey was and it will be the place forever etched in my memory.
From day 1, I knew I would enjoy Monterey and central California and the Californians.
And I was blessed to have met so many wonderful people and the friendship we have formed last 2 years we were there. Hi guys!!!

We are still waiting for the house we bought here in the East Coast to finalize its due process.
It will take a while to move into our new house. Until then, I will share some pictures of my beloved town and our long journey to the East Coast.

Haha
This is where I stopped writing in July.
My iPad would not load pictures and was very slow.
Somehow, it was not blogging compatible.

And once we moved into our new house, I got busier unpacking and fixing up the house.

Anyway, I will continue where I left off trying to update the blog and reconnect.
So, I am going back to our final few days in Monterey.

We had to eat lunch at California Market Restaurant.
The voucher we bought 2 years ago had to be used
as our final day in the area was fast approaching.

This restaurant is perched up on a hill along hwy 1 in Carmel Highland.
So, nice sunny clear day would be most preferable to dine up here to fully enjoy the view.

But there are times when we don't have any choice at all like us.
It was cold and overcast day and not too many people were there.

Like this couple, we decided to sit at the outdoor patio.
With the heater giving out warm air, it wasn't too cold.
My camera wasn't taking pictures at all in the beginning, so I don't have too many pictures to share.

Fish Taco and Calamari we ate.
I do have a good recipe for fish taco. If anybody is interested in, let me know.

The surrounding views from the deck.
