When John was home for R & R, we took a trip to Breckenridge.
Unlike last year, warm weather was holding up nicely and we were able to see beautiful aspens foliage. When we had an early winter last year, all the aspen trees were bare by the end of September.

Chaplains Wives Coffee

It was a perfect day for our coffee considering such volatile weather pattern here.
All I asked for was for the temperature not to go into 90s.
Without AC, it would be unbearable with so many people.
The backyard furniture came in handy as well.
           
It was most casual 'coffee', a lady's get together in the military we call, that I hosted at my house.

Always glad to see my thrift finds in good use.


From left: Cut flowers Lisa brought. I dried these beautiful roses.
When dried, these roses turn to interesting colors.
Black-eyed Susan was brought in inside from the the field across the street.
Black-eyed Susan in enamelware for outdoor patio table.
I love these vibrant rugged looking wild flowers flowing freely in the well beaten enamelware or a pottery.


When the lefty and the righty sit together and eat.....

Just to remember that we were having fun over simple food.
